how much do you have in your maverick or comet

    well i built it the forst time. stretched the rod bolts and slung a rod due to a bad trans. put it all back together and then the rotating assembly was out 100 grams off on the back.

    1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
    OMG ive got 4900.00 in mine and its not running yet. Momma don't no that tho......shhhhhhh. Im close tho, to having it running.

    My daily driver is a 1970 maverick
    my mavericks worth

    With purchase, 302,floor shifter, new paint, mostly new interior, tires and odds and ends here and there...3k. Probably about 1/2 way to where I wanna be.

    $900 for the car, $3200 in motor and parts. Still have body work, paint, wheels, and re-upholstry to complete. If I rub a few more nickels together and a with little luck, she should see pavement by August.

    I have over $4950 in mine, $1000 car, $750 rebuilt automatic, $900 paint and body, $1250 interior, $300 new tires, $750 in misc parts, lots of my labor.

    If I could get a reasonable amount of the out of the car it would be loved by a new owner.

    It is cheaper to by one restored than to restore one.

    At my age this will be my last restoration.
