I want all of the Maverick owners to know that the old Ricky Smith car is now in Virginia. It will get a total restoration including a very similar engine as was in the original. I would love to find the original intake manifold but may have to settle for a later reproduction of the single plane intake. I need any photos of the interior or car--the trans tunnel-details--was it opened up for easy access-etc. Also were the shock towers notched--any underhood photos. I am currently wetsanding the car--exposing the designs on the sides-stripes on the fenders and top. This is a very exciting project and I am very proud to now own this car after taking two perfect photos of it in Bristol in 1976. Anyone wanting to see any photos please send me your email address-it seems I can't upload any photos!
Cool, hopefully I get my car looking like it did back in the 70's too, once we get our cars put together, we'll have to get (sorry I forgot the owners username) together with the owner of Arlen Fadely's Maverick and have a Super Modified Maverick reunion, idk if my car will ever be back to how it originally was raced though. lol
