Not looking for aluminum radiator info....I'm looking for a standard replacement radiator for my 1970 Mav with a 250 automatic. Several parts stores have them listed but I asked at one and they tell me it's not available. Anyone bought one lately? Where?

For my 1970, the local radiator shop had a reproduction in their catalog for around $200 delivered. I opted to have my original re-cored at a cost of $250 - that way all the original markings and codes were there just like the day it left the factory. The reproduction did not have the identical factory look, but it was definately available for ordering.

Here is an aluminum one on ebay, if you don't care about a completely stock look. $187 delivered

I'm not 100% against an aluminum radiator....but I prefer the traditional look and since I have seen replacement radiators priced around $140 with a lifetime warranty....a $200+ Champion is out of the question.

Cheap with a lifetime warranty isn't always a good thing, I'm on my 4th "Lifetime" warranty water pump, and the car hardly gets driven....

Yeah I'm don't put much faith in the lifetime warranty thing....I was just hoping a few here had a recommendation on a stock looking radiator. Advanced Auto show one I see.

Autokrafters sells a stock replacement 3 row copper/brass rad that looks stock and workes well...I have one in my Sprint. This rad spent a few years in my blue Mav before I pirated it for the Sprint.(havent had any problems with it at all) AKs' PN# is listed as 3339 it lists for $249.95. Its on page 30 if you have a new catalogue handy.

I went with the one from Advanced Auto. Right now they have a 15% off special promotion plus free shipping making it $118.

Could I possibly get the link to that product, I'm in a similar situation. Thanks, Liam.

How much were the hoses?? The upper is the same a Mustang (just needs some trimming) but the lower is Maverick only, and the last one I bought was pricey!!

I gave arond $28.00 for both. They are listed on the NAPA site.

I was scared that I got the wrong radiator at first because to inlet and outlets were smaller than the radiator I had but then again...I have no idea what my old radiator came out of originally....I had a bad habit of jury rigging stuff in my younger years. :naughty:

    Turned out everything fits perfect.

The radiator in my car came from Advance Auto. I've got about 40,000 miles on it now, no problems out of it.

I can't remember the actual maker of the Advanced radiator....maybe Ready-Rad?? I've seen the same makers name on radiators we use at the shop. It should be fine.

Is that radiator a 2 core or 3 core?
