If I could have the Maverick of my dreams, built 100% the way I want it with no exceptions, money is no option. I don't think there is anything I would trade it for.

It would be 100% turn bolt restoration, 347 stroker putting out top H.P., 9 inch rear with Detroit Air Locker, Mini-Tub with some wide-arse back tires, running in the low 10's in the 1/4 mile, suspension upgraded to make it handle the twisties too, 4 or 5 (prolly 5)speed tranny. A/C, Cruise Control, Super Comfortable Seats. Would either be red with black stripes and red and black interior, or medium/dark metallic blue with black accents and blue and black interior. Those are the major details.

Only thing that I can think of that I might trade my dream Maverick for is "MAYBE" a real, authentic, Shelby AC Cobra

If I finished the Maverick I'm waiting to work on, there's not a car in the world I'd rather have. I found the Maverick I bought when I was 18 sitting in a junkyard three years ago with a tree growing out of the engine compartment. It's in my garage.

Someday, I'll be skilled enough or have enough bucks to do her justice!

If I ever get that car to look the way it did in the picture I have of it on my prom night (have a pic of the car, not my date- the car was a hell of a lot nicer!) I'll be buried in it! Hell, according to my wife, I should be buried in it regardless!

I would trade any of my Mavericks for any '65-'70 fastback/sports roof Mustang in decent shape.

First off, my wife would not agree (KMA she says) with selling the Mav (nor me), too much heart & soul in it, too much history and too much doneros and too much fun... but, if, my choice (Rocky speaking), an original Road Runner, 426 Hemi, stripped, straight line car, rubber mats & all...:yahoo::drive: Holly speaking, sorry guys, a 63-64 split window Corvette could float my boat..:naughty:. but of ALL muscle cars, we have no reservations about any cars... absolutely LOVE what we've experienced with the Maverick:dance:(y)... we would never sell it, have another one in the garage for future resto... plus a F250 4x4 1978 sitting in our back yard... soon to come. Argh, Argh, ARGH!

Yes, now that's a car..I had a chance to buy one years ago..I should have.

I doubt I'd trade my Maverick (s) for anything..I have a bad habit of buying cars, and not selling (or trading) the ones I already have..But if someone offered me a 68 GT500KR, for all my Mavericks and parts...then maybe.

When I was a kid growing up in my small town in Ky, the fastest car in town was a '55 red Nomad with a 396/ 2-4's, 4 spd. I always wanted to duplicate that car. Owned 5 Nomads, the last a '55. I traded it to a Chevy guy for several thousand dollars and a show quality paint job for my gold '73 Stang conv. Too much money at the time to restore the '55. If money were no object, I would still like to have one with a 454/4 spd in it. If I never get one, that is ok, I am happy with what I have now.
