    I'm mounting 71-71 Mustang seats in a 71 Comet.
I have the LDO brackets which are to low.
I've searched for an actual dimension of how high the GT bucket seat brackets are but only found "about an inch".
I need to know more accurately than that.
Can someone please measure the height of the stock high back or GT bucket seat track? Measure as accurately as you can. I only need to know the height of the track by the rocker, I can figure it out from there...

    Thanks in advance .

You going to need more than the track height its self. Mav/comet bucket seat tracks use two extensions which are independent of the tracks themselves without those your not going to ever get the correct height. both sides use different extensions too.

    Yep...

Yes, I know they are different. Looks like the ones near the rocker will have the same height front to rear. The two by the tunnel are on a different plane. The front one near the tunnel is 1" lower than the outboard ones. The rear one near the tunnel is 1 1/2" lower than the outboard ones.
If I know the height of the outboard ones near the rocker, I can figure the other two...
What is the dimension from the bottom of the seat frame to the floor pan one the outboard side. I have some good seat tracks that bolt to the seat fine. I just need to make some risers to mount the tracks. First I need a starting dimension.
    Thanks.

    Yes that helps

    Yes, that helps.
    Thank you.
I do have a question though. Is that 2 3/4" measurement from the bottom of the seat frame to floor pan, or just the height of the support rail without the seat track on it?

That measurement is from the bottom of the seat track where the carpet touches it, to the top of the seat track where the seat touches it.

    Excellent ! Thank you.

    Excellent ! Thank You.
The seat track I'm using is 1" thick so I'll make my mounting bracket 2" high.

    Thanks again.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
you can run spacers too between the rail and the seat too.

i don't know if you have ever seen this.

personally i love how the seats sit low. keep in mind if you have aftermarket seats that you are trying to put in they will sit too high if you use something taller. but thats just my opinion. ;)

    No, never saw that.

No, I never saw that. I wonder why I never found it with all my searching... I've been searching for a couple weeks too ...
    Thanks.
