I had to get my Maverick inspected yesterday and afterward I decided to put a coat of wax on the car. While at Carlisle, we got a sample of Meguiar's new NXT generation Tech Wax in the goodie bag. I figured it was as good a time as any to give it a try. I have to say I was impressed. It goes on easy and comes off without any mess. And the shine is incredible. Has anyone else tried it yet and what are your opinions of it? And since we are on the subject, what is your favorite brand of car wax?

Wow, and I do mean WOW! I have not used mine and didnt even plan on trying it. I use alot of meguiars stuff but none of their actual waxes. I for sure will use that sample now.
    Thanks Jean

Jean, that's a very nice looking shine you got there. I have some Meguiars wax (not the new stuff) and I don't care for it. It seems to be too wet. I have always used Mother's California Gold carnuba paste wax, applied with a moistened cloth. It's a lot of rubbing but it's always worked well for me.

    Sam :)

I use Meguiars products exclusively, wash, pre cleaner, cleaner wax, paste wax, detailer spray, tire treatment, upholstery cleaner, everything. Actually I won a wash bucket full of their products at a car show so it was all free, but I do like their stuff. (y)

Wow that red really pops! I started using Eagle one "Wet" a few years ago. I was really impressed with it. But it keeps getting harder and harder to find. I might have to try that Meguiars NXT stuff. Oh ya that is after the Maverick gets painted. Lets see I wonder how long Meguiars will be in buisenss??? :) Russ

Hey Jean, I've tried alot of different waxes over the years. "Liquid Glass" has worked the best for me. It's expensive ($17) but well worth it. Wipes off as easy as it goes on. It looks as if you laid a sheet of glass on top of your paint. I saw the Meguiars Tech Wax advertized on TV but I have'nt tried it yet. Looks like it worked real good on your car. Whats the price of a bottle?

I have used Meguiars Gold Class for the last few years. I just picked up a bottle of the NXT it's not cheap either about $16 a bottle

I got a few samples of Black Magic Wet Shine (I think that's the name of it) at Lowe's Speedway. It really looked great on the Stallion. I was impressed. It is a liquid and went on easily. It came off just as easily. I'm going to use it on the Bronco as soon as I buff it out. It's dark metallic blue and that should bring the shine up significantly.

I also used some of that "black magic wet shine", just the car wash though, i found it worked well, but i like the migures car wash i have, comes in a big purple bottle, fairly cheap and works good. I'm totally going to pick up some of that NXT though. That stuff looks good.

Tried the NXT it seems to be most effective on darker colors. Easy to buff off with a lot less residue than the Gold Class. We will see how it holds up.

I started using NXT last month and am very pleased with it. I also use it on my black truck and it really helps those swirl marks in dark paint!!

I got some today, will try it this weekend.
Maybe a dumb question but did you follow the directions?
Its says to leave it on for 10-15 minutes then buff out?
