I got a dumb question...did you re-check the fluid level before you made this post??? IF you did then I don't know what to tell you. If you didn't then....

lol yes, its a little low, but only a little....

when i replaced the transmission, i kept the old torque convertor... but it came with a slightly bigger one, should i have kept that one? i'm wondering if something like that would cause my current problems.. :/

IDK for sure on this but like i said before you should use the convertor that came with the trans or buy a new one for your trans! used convertor in used trans not a wise choice.

well, the transmission that i put into the car was old too... came out of a granada...
    here's the story,

mav tranny went out, so i got a c4 tranny, bellhousing, and torque convertor from a guy who took it out of his granada, but i decided to use the smaller torque convertor and bell housing from my maverick, INSTEAD of the one that i got from the granada... i'm not sure if what i did was wrong...

    my symptoms:

it seems as though the weels are "catching" when i push on the accelorater... even though its easier to go in reverse.... its still "catching"... :/

When you checked the fluid was the engine idling in Park?
If not check it again while the engine is idling in Park.
You also fill it that way.
My concern is that you have installed a new valve body from a much later car on it - do you know the year of the Granada that the valve body came from?
