It takes a lot of fabricatiion to put an actual Mustang II front end on a Mav, wrong width. And it isn't as strong as one of the kits from R&C that most guys use.

    :Welcome: from Northeast Pennsylvania

You're better off purchasing a new crossmember kit. I chose one from Full Tilt Street Rods and it is designed for stock Mustang II coil springs. You can see it if you click on my images. It was just over 300.00 with shipping.

Like Barry stated - something taken from an actual Mustang II is only bent and spot welded sheet metal made to fit the width between the frame rails of a Mustang II. Not the same as a Maverick and you're messing with some 35 year old metal.

If you need more help or have questions my email is mav1970@yahoo.com

do a search on the forum and find which headers do fit. it may be cheaper and easier than an m2 conversion....

try the maverick connection they have a set of headers for that swap for about $400 or so.If you don't want to try that cut the shock tower back and plate it. I did the plate in my 72 comet worked fine. Drag raced the car for18 years. big Rick
