Well, considering I've owned a "Original" Maverick, longer than you've been alive, I have to disagree.

First off, no matter what the mileage is you've made a great deal on the car! :thumbs2:

As for weather to modify it or not, well here's how I would go about it:

I would modify it to my likings and enjoy the car, but I would keep ALL the original parts to return it back if I wanted to. I also wouldn't modify it to a point that it couldn't be returned stock.

    Here's a few examples:

If I wanted a modern CD Radio and speakers in the kick panels, I would purchase replacement kick panels and a radio bezel and modify those, putting the originals up for safe keeping.

If I wanted mag wheels, I would have the tires pulled off the original rims and put them up in the attic for safe keeping and to be out of the way.

If I wanted the Grabber Scooped Hood, I would remove the original, repair any rust issues it might have and put it in the attic too.

That should give you the basics of what I'm trying to say.

    Hope this helps,
    -Scott H.

No matter the millage it's an awesome find, well worth $500.00. But just 161 miles is hard to believe getting it from the factory to the truck then delivered to the dealer. Then straight to the barn maybe but I doubt it.:) I do have a friend with a 93 5.0 LX mustang with all the factory available options that year. He was unable to afford payments & Insurance so he parked it. She only has 3980.1 miles on it and 17 years later it's still parked.

No way does that door look like 161 miles ... looked at the faded and worn black paint around the window frame ... typical of a high mile car ...
