carb dilema

    i put a carter afb 750 on my 302 and it runs real good but people keep saying its too much i keep checking my plugs and they are burning real nice.what should i do drop to a 600 or leave well enought alone.or can i jet the 750 down a bit to limit the fuel spray.help

    I am one that would usually say it is too big for a mild or stock engine BUT if it is running good, not eating you out of house and home in fuel bills I say leave it alone. You might have gotten lucky and found one that had been set up on a previous engine that suits yours just fine

    clint i think thats what happened it was on a mopar 360 before and its just working no ryme or reason it just works i had it a the local advanced auto today and the guys that work there told me to light it up and to no surprize that thing did what it always does it came to life so i'll just leave it alone put the new richmond 411s in and go racing at the local drag strip.
