I just wanted to see if we could get a list with pics of cars powered by clevelands. Maybe this way we could get all the info in one place and help anyone else interested in this swap. I am just starting my 351c project maverick and I will post mine when I am ready to put my engine in.

WOW! Let me just say that car is perfect! I hope my car turns out half as nice. Thanks for sharing it with me. What headers or manifolds did you use? What mounts? And I see you kept your towers uncut.

Mounts are the same as 302 mounts and headers are Tubular automotive 8 piece slip together units not cheap but only thing that fits will have to and I mean have to use oil filter relocation kit.

I have a set of those,I tried to use them a few years ago with the stock v8 mounts and they hit my steering. I talked to someone here before and they said you have to use 65 mustang mounts. I do have a relocation kit also,I think I have everything to do it but a built c4. My new c6 wont fit.

It is my understanding that if its a factory V-8 car, you have to remove the bolt in "Belly Bar " cross member to use the tubular automotive headers. Is this correct?

A 351 Cleveland and ya didn't have to cut the shock towers!
A 351 Cleveland? And I thought they were wider than that!

many have done it that way, a couple of years ago popular hot rodding did an article on a guy named kory that had one in his 70.

IIRC the Cleaveland's have the same 9.2" deck height that some of the windsors have, 351W's also fit without shaving the towers.

but the cleaveland's heads are bigger than the inline valve windors heads, so i dont even want to think about a plug swap :D

    here's daves installation

There are a few things that you can and can't use. Can't use a belly bar with tubular automotive headers. There are 4 strategic placed 1 1/4 inch holes in the shock towers to access the inner spark plugs I can do a plug change in 40 minutes and never take the front wheels off really a piece of cake my big block factory cars are worse. Yes the cleveland does fit way better than a windsor in my opinion due to the exhaust port locations and bigger tube headers. I have a huge blowproof bellhousing that fit with no mods at all stock rear v8 trans mount on a top loader 4spd all in all really a great fit but not for everyone I guess.:)

You have one nice setup. I am suprised to see how well the 351C fits the engine bay w/o any mods to the towers.
