1974 Maverick 2-seater convertible

I saw what I thought was a 1974 Maverick 2-seater convertible (blue) the other day. My husband tells me there was never a 1974 convertible manufactured. Does anyone know if there was, and if so, do you have a picture or can you tell me where to go to get a picture? thanks much.

 

Ford never made a Maverick convertible at the factory. Some of the members here have made them though.

Thank you. Am I to assume that the 1974 Ford Maverick is custom made since you say they weren't made in the factory?

 

If you saw a Maverick convertible of any kind, it was a custom job. And if you see it again, we'd love some pics!

Oh, and

 

The next time I see it, I'll be sure to wait for the owner to come to it so I can make arrangements to get pics. It was a neat little two-seater.

 

Im just gonna say i highly doubt its a maverick convertible. Only COMPLETED convertible i have ever seen is in brazil... Can you describe it? Look through the gallery? Mavericks also had back seats

 

Perhaps not after stuffing a functional convertible top in it. We've seen proof it can be done, it's just exceedingly rare.
