What is a 427 Ford Engine Worth

    I don't know if I really want to stick it in my Maverick, but just wondering what the engine would be worth now-a-days. You guys are probably the most knowledgeable ford guys I know so I figured someone here probably knows.

    It depends on what kind of 427...wedge, side oiler, SOHC :)

    73 four door, 74 starsky&hutch mav, a 93SHO, an 03 gt, and a 94 gt
    id give just about anything for a sohc 427 in at least "rebuildable" shape

    Good Question, it should be SOHC. Was Racing Motor to compete with Chrysler.

    but really theyre worth a fortune.

    I hope so, I have no pic yet. I don't have the motor. My friend is doing some work for a guy (he is a high end fabricator) and this guy has a bunch of old chrysler hemi motors. He is trading the work for one of the motors but he thinks that there is one of ford 427's there. He was asking me about it.
