I have been a long time Gran Torino owner since 1987 this will be my first Maverick. A freinds dad of mine bought this Maverick new in 1973 it is a 4dr with factory 302 by the vin. My friends dad just used it on long trips up north until about 5 yrs ago. Then he used it for a daily work car for about 3yrs then he got sick and could not drive any more so he signed the tittle over to his son(my friend) who never drove it, and sold it to me last month for about $600 all it needs is a new paint job and the front seat repaired. I have known my freind for about 10yrs and in the whole time the only major problem the car has ever had was the valve seats went bad with his dad and ended up haveing to replace the heads. Other than that all that was done to the car was replace a water pump and the usel tune ups
from Northeast Pennsylvania My entire drivetrain, in my 70 Maverick, originally came out of my 1972 Gran Torino Sport - great car until it started to rust out from under me.

from Michigan! A neighbor of mine has a red '72 Grand Torino Sport in the garage. Its in perfect orginal condition. He takes it out once or twice a year. He has no plans to sell and wants to be left alone! Enjoy you Maverick!
