I took a 71 Comet and the hotrod Vega and combined them to replicate my own Comet...so far.

Looks good. The only thing I would add is a little black paint to the end of the sidepipe to simulate exhaust running through it.

Maverick Connection had the Comet model. I bought the souped up Vega at a gas station and it just happened to be the same maker so the wheels were a perfect fit. I installed the jacked up rearend from the Vega and the sweet V8 in place of the wimpy 6 that came in the Comet. The sidepipes arent exactly like mine but are close enough. I have a HUGE supply of 1/24 parts somewhere. The pipes off the "Heavy Chevy" by Revell are exactly like mine. I need a scoop. The Cougar Eliminator model I have is a perfect match.

I still have no grill. I threw out the wire shelving one I made when I did the small bumper swap. Im getting used to the enormous hole.

Chevy in a Ford?!? Blasphemy! LOL Cool project! I'd love to try it myself, but I don't have time for the projects that are sitting around here now.
