I had a very similar situation at a car show I had entered. A guy kept asking me how much I would take for the car. I just kept telling him it wasn't for sale. He insisted...oh yeah...anything can be bought...everybody has a price!!! Just throw something at me! I finally got tired of his b/s and told him $30,000. Then he started to scare me when he and his buddy started looking the car over real close! I got to thinking...DAMN!!! I guess if this dude comes up with $30 grand I better get ready to build me another car! He finally just shook my hand and said he might be getting back with me later. Never heard from him so I still figure he was all b/s. Oh well, made for an interesting day anyway.

When I bought my car in 1975 I immediately began doing things to it. A guy here in town was in high school at that time, heck, I had just graduated. He has always loved my car. Also, he has always asked me how much? The standard answer from me is it isnt for sale, thanks. About 5 years ago the guy had made some real dough on buying and selling a few different cars. He had 34 grand burning a hole in his pocket and waved it in my face. I gave him my standard answer, he laughed and said that it must not really be for sale at any price, he is right.

$127,000. Of course, I rejected it immediately. I just told him go right ahead and try and build it for that.:D

$2,000. Also had a guy that wanted to trade my Comet for his 93 Mustang GT that had one of the worst knocks I have EVER heard in my life.

I havent had many offers yet , but when I first got mine I had a guy want it, I told him 5k then, wich was a grand more than I had in it... kinda glad he didn't bite , around here its too hard to find a solid car to start with.

was at WalMart today, a kid I know that works there asked me if I was ready to sell him my car yet. I asked him how much he was offering and he told me $2000. I told him no. Then he says, "what did you pay for it, $1800" I told him I paid 2500 then he offered me 3200.

Over all of the years I owned mine I have had several people want to know "How Much for you to just go ahead and sell it to me" I learned a longtime ago the correct answer is:

"For what I`d have to get to let this one go...you could buy TWO of them that are nicer!"

I have never been a wealthy man at all , but my car is just one of those things I don`t think I could EVER be comfortable with selling. After owning it for 27 years, I think that no matter how much I got for it ,eventually I would really regret letting it go.

Since everyone here pretty much would say no to most dollar amounts, how much would you guys be willing to sell it for?
