well i went to start pulling the 5.0 i got for free and before i did i thought i would put a battery in it shoot it with some starting fluid and see if it still runs so i didnt waste my time with a bad motor.well much to my amazement a couple of tries with ether it started and ran good with 4 year old gas and it hasnt been ran in that amount of time either.needless to say its almost out of the van now and i cant wait to rebuild it.

Thats always a plus good deal!

I always find it amazing when you throw some marvel mystery oil down in the cylinders, let it sit a couple days then start a motor that has been out in the weather not sealed and they fire right up! amazing what these motors can go through and still survive sometimes.

    LONG LIVE THE WINDSOR!

12.50 to 12.00 heck i only need to shave less then a second with the motor i have in it to get to 12.50 but with this one im going to go old school with the cam and lifters i already have and a set of aluminum heads air gap intake and a 750 on top should get me close.

who knows i might just build it and put it in the corner for a rainy day and put all the goodies on the motor thats in the maverick just dont know yet what im going to do maybe a stroker is in the future

a basically stock bottom end with aluminum heads should go low to mid 12's pretty easily
