700 and something miles from Jacksonville Florida to my Home in Maryland when I bought it about 4 years ago. Now I drive it about 60 miles round trip all the time to work as it is my Daily Driver whenever I am not carpooling with my wife.

I've only driven mine on long trips a couple of times. 300 miles round trip but I would not be afraid to drive it accross the country.

my daily driver so a lot of trip to Los Angeles and back from san diego which is a little over 110 miles each way. Driven it to Fontana and Irwindale which is about the same distance I suppose. Would love to do a longer trip but I'm too chicken . . .

Unless you are a young pup the Mav will beat you to death on a trip.

Short wheel base and leaf springs do not a freeway cruiser make.

My comet is one of the most comfortable car I have driven, even on long trips. Although that doesn't say much for the other cars I have owned.

Even with my bad back the only thing hard about driving the Mavericks is getting in and out. I can sit comfortably in the car for 5 hours straight and not have a problem at all but a trip to the store with a stop at another store and the gas station wipes my poor back out!

Drove mine about 30 miles to see a friend about welding some floorboard holes and then back. :hmmm: Got home and the transmission took a dump in the driveway. Been there about a month now. Too hot to work on it in Texas.

Pushed it up the drive way into the garage, and out a few times.

Roger that on the too hot.

My son is in the garage door business and he has some super hot jobs when the doors will not come up until he puts the fix on them.
