Oops, if I'd been paying attention I guess I probably would've noticed you already said which discs you put on. :slap: My bad.

I seem to recall that the hole in the middle of these alum wheels is too small to fit over the rotor.

Keep in mind that both Mustangs and Mavericks were available with these wheels. However, they are not interchangeable. Actual Maverick wheels have the larger holes so they fit over the front and rear hubs which are larger than Mustangs. Mustang have the smaller hole and will not fit on a Maverick ... as Craig stated above ...

Here are the Mustangs rims that will not fit a Maverick .. They look identical but they aren't ...

I thought I had seen a thread on this board somewhere about getting the slotted wheels to fit on the Granada/Mav disc setup, saying that you just need to have the "snout" of the rotor turned to a smaller diameter so the wheels will fit. Can anyone confirm this?

I hope that they fit. I bought Stephen Moore's rotors and calipers off of his
'74 Comet GT that had factory slots. I have to get the spindles to do my
swap, but I am running the factory original slots on my GT right now with
the dumb, I mean drum brakes.

Trust me ... if you have the correct Maverick spindles, rotors and calipers and actual Maverick Slots ... there is no problem .... Excuse the body shop dust but here are some pics ...

Stock Maverick Disc Brake setup in first picture ...

    and

Factory Maverick aluminum slot ... mounted and spins freely with no clearance issues ..

If you are having rim to caliper clearance issues something is not an original Maverick part ...

By the way ... the rear of the slotted wheel looks dimensionally identical to the standard steel wheel .. even has the outer flange where the tire shop mounted standard tire weights ..

I will ... I just mounted this one temporarily just now to conclude the discussion ... I am gonna hit the alignment shop soon so I can keep them mounted ... Here is a PhotoShop job to keep you until then :) I just copied the back to the front to get the complete effect ...
