:hmmm: Dont think I've ever seen a tranny cooler mounted on the engine side of the rad??? You would be flowing very hot air from the rad core through the trans cooler. I think I must have mis-understood your mounting.

Mine is on the front of the rad, Passenger side.

no i have mine mounted on the engine side of the radiator i was told to put it on the back side so i wouldnt block the radiator since the stock radiator needs all the air it can get to keep a 302 cool..... i guess it makes sence that hot air would be flowing over it now that i think of it

Mine is in front of the a/c condenser on passenger side . Mounted level to the ground.

Plumbed in with hard line with the radiator cooler in line first then returning to trans .

On a 100 deg. air temp day trans temp is between 125 to 135 deg.

You should move it to the front the trans will be a lot cooler. It wont affect the airflow through the rad very much.

You would likely shorten the life of your trans bigtime the way you have it.

No pic of mine mounted yet but when I get to that point it will be mounted on the apron where the battery was originally.

This is before I installed my new Champion radiator. I will be putting it back like this when I get the chance.

Keep the pics coming, I'm using the b&m supercooler and it's pretty big so i'm also looking at how you mount it. Most i've seen people go through the rad.

I grabbed a transmission cooler today at the junkyard off a '85 F250. I haven't mounted it yet but I think it can be adapted very easy to a Maverick.
