what other vehicles have a 8" third member that will bolt up in my 73 comet, org. 302 auto and I would like to find a posi unit, I am not mechanically inclined to install the unit in my own, other than swaping out the pumpkin, any help would be appreciated.
I think but am not sure, someone else may verify it but, i think v8 mustang 2's had posi third members.
very few if any came with a track lock the only thing that came with a track lock was late 60s mustangs and IF you find one it will not be cheap save up and buy a new one 700.00
the 700 will buy you a whole third member on ebay. you can get a new limited slip for around $450.00. but then you have to have it installed. the 700 is a really good price for a third member with new bearings, new gears, and a new or rebuilt limited slip.
