Well as you may know I do Karaoke here in P.C.B. Fl. and on my display screen is a pic. of my Grabber...last night a guy comes up to me and ask "what's the story on the Maverick on the screen there"? I said it's my project car...he said "those cars are so cool....will you sell it to me"? I was kind of shocked by the question and the statement....I replied to him that it was not for sale and thanked him for the compliment, he then insisted it "had to be for sale" and asked "what I would have to get out of it".
I repeated very nicely that I was not interested in selling it....he then, I thought dropped the subject as he signed up to sing a song, when it came his turn to sing I called him up and he did a wonderful job singing, as he was leaving the stage he turned back to me and said "it's not over on the deal on the Maverick" and returned back to his seat in the crowd.
I guess I will wait and see what happens Saturday night as I have tonight (Friday) off.... he is not pushy or rude or anything ..very nice guy just wants my Grabber!

chances are $10,000 would not get him a car that he would feel as good about as his current car. i know if someone wanted to buy my car i would need about twice as much as its worth to let it go.

I once had a guy call me and say the same thing, "Everything is for sale" and "Everything has a price"...he called for months, at home and to my office, I guess he finally got the hint.

I tell them $525,000.00 $25,000 for the car and $500,000 for pain and suffering. If that Don't work I tell them it's my first car I have had it for 27 years.

Had a guy at a bar insist that $3500 should be more than enough to buy my car! Even after I told him no way, absolutely not! He still thought it was a matter of him needing to show me the money.

Well, it's not for sale! I can't part with it....yes I could go out and buy another with enough money, but it would not be THIS one, I love this car even though it cost me Mo' Money all the time...and no Ray that 289 HI PO will be in it soon!
If he really wants to buy a Maverick, I will sell him the 73' I have here in the yard.
