The mav is gone but i'm still here!
It has been about 18 months since i last saw a mav at a junkyard. So i figured it would be a good time to go and check. I didnt find one again, but there was one outside in their For Sale lot. Its a 70, from far away it looked nice. But when i got close i saw that it had been hit in the quarter panel area, also in the rear. The wheel wells also have some rust. The ignition is also jerry rigged with a spring and wrench, i have no clue whats going on there. I just hope it doesnt sell and it ends up going inside. I really want the grille and underdash AC for my falcon :) its pretty much complete though! Heres a cell pic: [IMG] They want 1895 for it. Which is way too step for my liking. I also found it on CL http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/1978724336.html

Saw the car again today, it's still there. Back in June of 2010 they had it listed at $3500.

Then they dropped it down to $1,895

    and now it's $1,695.

I really want it, except for the dent that it has in the back.

I was hoping I had a picture of the dent on here, but I guess not.
I forgot to take one today went I saw the car again :slap:

To me it looked like an entirely unmolested car(except for the damaged ignition), I was in a hurry so I forgot to write down the VIN and the codes off the door tag :(

I recently started looking for another car to fix up.
One that I could swap the parts off my 75 onto.

My 75 just has a ton of dents on it and I'm not very good at body work.

But I could swapped out the brakes and rear end onto this 70.
The entire brake system on my 75 is brand new. I replaced everything on it.
I recently changed out the gear oil and the seals on the rear end, so that's ready to go also.

And I have so many extra parts left over from the 200 ci build on the falcon, I think I would be able to rebuild the engine in this car if need be.

Or even swap the entire 200ci from the falcon, since it's getting a V8 swap anyways.

Funny thing is without the A/C and probably a couple other optional items on that car the 1970 base model Maverick sold for $1995 msrp brand new and here it is 30 some odd years later and they are still asking $1895 hahaha Now that is good resale value
