Yes, no doubt about that but why a yota motor? Esslinger 2.3 ltr Fords still rule in the USAC midgets

I would'nt build it exactly that way, but I can find enough to think its cool, and to see a Maverick at the SEMA show is awesome! It's got to have a FORD motor in it!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO EXCUSES!!! just my:2cents:

I agree the Toyota motor has to go, a Volvo B234f head on a 2.3L Ford would be a cool set-up, or a Mercruiser. Even better than those would be an EcoBoost though...

Can't say I like the new wheels. Pretty cool car, but it definitely looks better in pics then it does in person IMO. Just some attention to detail things that could be done better that don't really notice in pics. Saw it on the power tour back in June. Glad to see the clear packing tape that appeared to be holding the windshield trim on is gone now. LOL

Sorry but I think I'd need to see some time slips to buy the 10 second part.

Now why would you make it so you have to fill the tank from the inside and not shave the stock gas cap? I'm not a big fan of filling cells from inside the trunk on a street car either. One spill and you have a nasty mess on your hands and if they used bed liner in the trunk that gas will not be kind to it. The tin work is really nice at least on the dash and tunnel, the rest looks like they were running out of time and rushed it. Just doesn't show the attention to detail like forward of the seats does. Still, I wouldn't kick out of my garage for dripping oil.

Well, if it's a 2jz toyota motor, 10 second time slips would be easy. Ever heard of Titan Motorsports??

I don't doubt it makes some grunts. I used to play around with 2TC & 3KC engines in a 72 Corolla back in 1980/81 way before "Tuner" was a word. My Corolla had custom plates that said "ZKILLER." and I used to kick the crap out of 240 and 260 Zs with that car. Still 10 sec, theory w/o a time slip to back it up. I haven't seen anything on this car that had one yet so...............
