Help with ford number

    Does any one know which gas cap this is, part Number: d6PZ 9030B
    If u have a pic please post

    Here is all that i know about this gas cap i have never seen it though but they it is in the oringal box: The gas cap D6PZ 9030B chrome with black lettering, priced at $10, which is a price put on it 15 years ago and never changed. It's new, in the original box.
    Anyone know about this?????????

    That isn't a complete part number ... the 9030 does indicate it is a Gas Cap though .. If the B on the end is the revision then it would be a Deluxe Chrome Cap ... does it have a Maverick Logo on it? What is stamped on the part is the manufacturing number and it doesn't always match the part number that the dealer would order or that would be stamped on the box. The P could indicate a Maverick as well since that was Fords designation for Maverick in their parts guide.

    It sounds like a complete part numer to me :confused:

    D6PZ, that decodes as a 1976 engineered part. The 'P' model code means service replacement. That means its probably not OEM for anything. The black lettering probably says 'GAS' or 'UNLEADED'. That's my best guess. Not a Maverick-only cap for sure.

    I AM A PARTS MANAGER AT A FORD DEALER AND I CHECKED ALL MY OLD CATALOGS. I COULD NOT COME UP WITH THAT NUMBER IT MAY BE A REPLACING PART. I DID FIND THESE NUMBERS, MAYBEE YOU COULD CHECK YOU LOCAL FORD DEALERCAND SEE IF THE HAVE AN "OSI" CATALOG AND YOU COULD HAVE THEM RESEARCH THESE NUMBERS TO SEE IF THEY ARE UPDATED TO THE CAP IN QUESTION.
