Just looking at the new members page and there are 8 different new members that "have just picked up a maverick". Not that im mad at them, but when did our car become so popular?

there were parts and cars galore, even 15 ears ago. Cars all over inthe junkyard. I picked up a couple of cars for $150 each just to part and scrap. threw out alot of good parts back then not thinking they would be worth anything because there were so many out there.

Considering the last Mavericks & Comets were built 33 years ago....
Even in the 80's around here, you'd have a hard time finding parts in the auto wreckers, they just didn't last long in the salt.

Yep I spent most of my teenage school years at Mikes auto wreckers in the mid-late 80's. They maybe had 2or3 Mavs at a time and they were all rotten except one California plated car that I still kick myself for not buying. No idea how it ended up in our yard with Cali plates.

i only know of one mav right down below my dads house and a 70's model comet out in the country. finding parts for a maverick around here is like finding a needle in a haystack
