Does anyone know anything about ENGINES DIRECT? I planned on doing the rebuild myself, but I no longer have the time. So I'm thinking of purchasing a remanufactured engine. I checked the archives, but couldn't find anything to my liking. Any input will be helpful. **************************************** IF IT'S GOT BOOBS OR WHEELS SOONER OR LATER IT'S GONNA COST YA!
Never heard of them but that doesn't mean much as there are a lot of territory type business's. I have used Jasper engines if it is something that I do not build performance wise. They have a great service plan with a 36 month / 75,000 mile warranty and they are nationwide using independant shops as reps. www.jasperengines.com Good luck
I just went to there site and didn't see any 36month/75,000 mile warranty. Also it says they sell through independent installers. Do they sell to the public at all?
Mine is an O'Reilly short block bored .040 over. I put my own intake, heads, cam, lifters, and converted to roller. So far, so good, and I run it HARD!!!
Don, I was wrong about the milage warranty. They increased it to 100,000 miles. If you go on the site at the top is the option links, all the way to the right is warranty link it will give you all of the warranties. I will call them and see about their selling/buying policies as to if private concern can still buy direct.
I see that. You'll have to drive nonstop to get 100,000 in 3 years though. I've been thinking about buying an engine for Ruth's Comet rather than building one. But I'd put it in myself. Actually I thought about Jasper this afternoon as I passed one of their trucks on I-10.
I called Jasper and talked to Tyler at ext 2770 and he told me that they do sell direct to customer. Call and they will price it and set up all arrangements with you. I never had any problems with dealing with them. Good company.
I hate this to be my first post, but I work for Rydellpowertrain and that's what i do is sell reman engines, same warranty as jasper 3yr/100,000. let me know what you have, and i'll get you a good price! as far as an intro post, I'll be doing it soon when i get some pics od my MAV up
to the forum Does your company's warranty cover parts and labor at any shop in the country as Jaspers does? That's Canada and U.S. Their premium policy covers everything from towing to fluids and I think it even covers car rental.
I've got nothing bad to say about Jasper. I beleive they have different levels of warranties. Ours is a 3 year 100,000 mile parts and labor warranty, good at any shop. the labor rate is only paid at $50.00, and they use an all data guide for the hours. Delivery only takes 2-3 days to most areas. if anyone has any questions! let me know!
