Last year I bought some new rear leaf springs (stiffer ones), which apparently make the car sit higher. To make things level out I had to buy a 2" spacer to lower the rear end. Now that the car is completely level I still want to drop the entire car about 1.5" inches. Is there a way to lower the car without having to use a 3.5" leaf spring block?

I had my rear leafs "de-arched" as much as some people say it's not a good thing to do, the car rides fine, even with 4 people in it.

That sounds like a better option than running on 3.5" blocks.

I think de-arching is the answer. Did you buy the "4-leaf improved handling" leafs that I have heard of?

First set of 4 leafs I bought also raised mine way too high. I had to put blocks in to lower it. Then I had them de-arched to match the lowered front. . It sat fine without blocks, but then I had header scraping problems with more that one person in the car. Finally bought new 4 leafs and coils. The 4 leafs were perfect without any blocks but I had to cut the coils to get the front to match. While my lowered version looked great, it just wasn't practical.

I would imagine you could also have reversed-eyed springs made
