Well i havent been on here in well forever. My father (72 years old) was riding his can am spyder back from a bike a rally and had a stroke about 2 miles from his house. So i have been helping him recover and helping with his company and so on. Good news is he has almost recovered from his accident he is about 80% i would say.

Anyway thats why i havent been around. However im back and with some good news (or maybe frighting depends on how you look it at) i finally have a game plan for my 75 more door.

The interior im going to try to figure out how to put a 95 mustang dash in (keeping my old maverick dash for model T project later) of course nice supportive buckets and all kinds of modren goodies you would expect to find.

For the out side im custom fabing a front and rear facia for the beast. somthing that looks like it could have gone on the car but at the same time still modern

The suspension modifed stock front end and i havent decided if i want a 4 link in the rear or get real brave and adapt Mark VIII rear irs. (alor of mark VIII had lsd as well as decent gears or Thunder chicken might have to be used) Just have weigh the pros cons of fabing each up.

And motorvation well i considred a 5.0 Fuel injected, a 289 i have lying around (its going in a fox body later) a 351 and even souping up the factory 6 but i finally came to the conclusion i want it to be light and nimble. So i settled on the 2.3 Turbo 4 cyl out of a Turbo Coupe,SVO or Xr4Ti. I wanted light and fule injected but diffrent so i figured why not. I know pepole usually dont put a smaller engine in there cars but the turbo is the equalizer.

I was really torn between the modren resto rod look and olskool shelby look (if shelby made a maverick.) i finally decided enough pepole had done the retro look im going to try to come up with somthing that no one has seen out of a maverick espically a 4 door.

So its going top be really cool or i will mess up a perfectly good mav. we will see. :thumbs2:

Glad to here your father is pulling through, and glad to have you back. I love the idea of souping up a six banger. With a good cylinder head, they turn into beasts. Alot of aftermarket parts showing up on the market these days.:tiphat:

Glad he's getting better, personaly I like the turbo 4 idea. I also like the mav dash in a T. I started down that road with my A, but that was more work than I realy wanted. I do have a "narrowed" mav dash if you want it.

I have not been on a lot lately, either. My wife had a mild stroke on the 6th. of December and I have been going back & forth to hospital. She is out now and recovering I wud estimate 60-70 percent. She has to have some more rehab.
Anyway, I hope she makes a full recovery. I also hope ur dad makes a full recovery. I see why they deem strokes "The Silent Killer".

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I would do a volvo 4V head swap on the 2.3. It flows crazy good. That with a precision 6262 and you can make 400whp on pump gas easily. My friend runs tens with that turbo on a tiny 1.6 engine. Next season the car will see nine`s when twelve more pounds are added :)

Yeah it is. He was riding his bike when it happened so when he got to the hospital they thought it was a head trauma took them a couple days to realize it was a stroke. Scary stuff.

I hope your wife recovers 100% my dad is motivated by the fact he doesnt want to live with me anymore LOL. hey whatever gets him better faster.
