Finally got ahold of the guy that has the Bronco. I paid $300 for a 94 Bronco that rolled over. It's supposed to run good and I should be able to sell enough parts off it to pay for it. Looking into it showed 94 was the first year for the Bronco's having Mass Air as apposed to Speed Density and they are also soppose to have roller cams. Should be a good power plant for the car.
I have a 95 150 flareside w/5.0.225k on it and still strong.they are good engines.I have a 4x4 95 x- cab short bed w/5.8 w/235k and it still runs great also.I keep a spare engine around for both but seems like i may not need to,HOPEFULLY.Are you goin to build it or just run it.
Price is really right considering my truck needs a power steering box and a brake booster, The box on the Bronco doesn't leak and the booster was replaced just before they kid rolled it. I'm also putting the seats in the truck to get rid of the bench, it rolls you towards the door when you drive it. The parts I need for the truck make it well worth the purchase!
If it's got the original 5.0, then it should be a roller. If it has a 5.8, then it will be a flat tappet cam. The 5.8 didn't go roller until mid-95.
