I was on Facebook last night and this guy that gave me my 69.5 Maverick back in 1989 was on line too. I had him looking for old photos of my car when he owned it and used it as daily transportation for his family. He told me he had the car for 3 years and used it every day. I then asked him who he got the car from? He said it came from his wife's Uncle who bought it new. The best that I could have hoped for was to add one more owner's name to the list but to find the original owner so quickly came as a real surprise to me. It also was surprising when he said it was bought at John Stenick Ford in Plymouth, Pennsylvania about 15 miles from me. So it turns out that the car stayed local all of it's exsistance.

Now I got his wife asking her family to check for photos. It would be cool to get a photo when it was new :):)

that's cool, not many classics that don't get sold to someone in another place at least once. my parts mav is from the ford dealership in Barrhead, Alberta about 20 minutes from my place. my actual mav i drive is from....well, i can't remember off the top of my head but it's from the U.S. i think Iowa or Idaho, i'm pretty sure it starts with an "I"

Pretty cool. My '72 I drive every day has a Los Angeles, CA DSO, Philadelphia, PA title that says the car is from Illinois, I bought it in Charlotte, NC where the last 4 owners lived, and it's now been pounding the streets of Atlanta for the past 5 years. The car will probably hit 400,000 miles this year. I'd say it's been around the block (or entire country) a time or two. lol

That is cool. I bought my 77 mav from the original owner and they bought it right here in Bellingham, so it still lives a few miles from where it was sold. They still live here in town also. My parts car was built in the same plant as my driver just 2 weeks earlier and both were shipped to Seattle. It is interesting how things work out sometimes. :drive:

my '73 4dr was bought brand new at Elliott & Witt Ford here in Irvine Ky in early '73 by great uncle. he then sold it to my grandfather back in the early 90's, who later passed away in 2000 and left it to me....so it's been in the family since new :)
