my maverick currently has a big bumper, but i was thinking about swapping it for a small bumper with a chin spoiler like this

do you think the small bumper/chin spoiler would look better on my car than the big bumper it has now?
here's a pic of mine for a reference.

Thats a pretty neat four door! But those spoilers arent available here. And the ones that are dont even look like that one. To me big bumpers look good on four doors. If it was a 2 dr i would go small bumpers in a heart beat. They make them look a million times better.

That has got to be the coolest 4 door I've seen. all it needs now is a grabber spoiler.

it is a cool 4 door. i didn't think they could look that good. but the 1st one in this vid is better IMO
the whole vid is about 4 doors and there are some pretty nice ones in there

Grabber spoiler won't fit on a 4 door car.

ok, another question if i'm gonnaget a small bumper. could i just take the big one off and fit the small one right on or would i need to drill new holes to bolt it on?

maybe its just me.... but i like the 4dr cars with the big bumper, or even the '73 bumpers. to me, it just doesnt look "proportioned" correctly for its size with small bumpers. but again, that's just me :)

i agree. that's why i wanted the chin spoiler with a small bumper. it fills up the space under the bumper where it would look empty and unproportioned without it. i'll keep the big bumper for now. maybe i'll get a small one and set it aside in case i ever want a small one on it instead

I think a four door (having the "blocky" look") look fine with the big bumpers. You've got them already so how about working with what you've got. Spend that $600 to $1000 on something else to start. You can always do it later and chances are the big bumpers will grow on you.

When we bought our car, we were going to replace the bumpers with small bumpers, but like indyman says, they grow on you. They remind me of the bumpers on some of the older muscle cars - GTO, Road Runner, Le Mans, Super Bee, Dart, etc. The small bumper gives it a more sporty looks.

    Personal preference I guess.

Unless you need extra chairs for a picnic, go with the small bumpers

Here is your 4-door with the spoiler and small bumper. I had to illustrate the spoiler since it was at a weird angle on the other car. Now you can make an informed decision on which combo you like.

The most cost effective way to handle it would be to tuck the bumpers. Easy to do and doesn't cost anything if you have some fabricating skills. The botom line is, do what you like best. It is your car. :tiphat::drive:
