    Willie,
Do I need to use tranny fluid all the time, even when I top off the power steering fluid on regular maintanence? Cause I have always been using power steering and nothing seems to have been off. I am confused?

Get a can of brake cleaner and spray them both clean. Then put a piece card board underneth them and watch for the leak to see where it comes from. The cardboard is for if it takes to long and you leave and come back later. It will help you to determine which one it is. You can buy a rebuild kit and do it yourself cheaper.

Yes, use it all the time. Remember, that is what you are supposed to use. If you can pour in power steering fluid then you can pour in the Type F fluid. Remember, things are designed to use a certain viscosity of fluid. And if you use the wrong fluid then it does not opperate properly.

Thanks to you guys for the tips, I bought a control valve rebuild kit today ($37.00). Sure beats the price of a new one. I'll let you all know how it turns out when I get it done...

I tried to rebuild mine, but after the BFH ruined the slotted nut and I could not remove the ball stud, I got a rebuilt kit from Discount/Advanced auto parts, for $131.

Still looking for the correct size slotted nut.
