Using a cartridge type fuse of 200 amps is pretty much the way to go if you are running an alternator with more than 100 amp rating. You should also run at least 2 awg cable to the alternator Battery terminal (1/0 if the battery is in the trunk).
I see this sounds like a good upgrade from the duraspark box, I may be asking about this set up in the future.
alot of jeep owners use the set up im using wth no issues. i payed a quite a bit for the accel brand module but it was better than getting a chinese one. google gm hei module and youll find all the info u need
i had to cut the cable to legnth and at one point i cut it too short and then the worm screw striped out so i had to drill it out and put that screw in it.
