Hey Mercurycruizers, either way you will probally have to dye the Arm rests because even the right color ones aren't going to be in perfect shape.

Looks good. Wish I could find the "Canada" badges, I've emailed Osborn but haven't heard back from them. :(

Just curious but is that blue paint under the chipped white? These cars were white with the blue painted on. I'm just wondering why there would be blue under yours. It does have RB for trim code on the door data plate, dont it?

Yes....it does have the RB trim code. I've noticed that most of the car has blue under the white. Didn't it have 2 red stripes down the side? I've noticed what seems to be a wider stripe (1/4") decal under the blue paint just below the thin red one. Car must have been repainted at some point. I sent you the info for the Sprint registry. The decal stripe (wide) on the hood is cracked from years of wear. The thin stripe on the hood is blue & red on the cowl. Shouldn't the thin stripe be red all around the car?

Yeah mine was obviously repainted at some point too Coop, and they didn't do a very good job by the looks of things. I'm a little nervous about what might be hidden under that coat of paint...

Dennis, does this mean you have the Sprint registry set up now?

Well, not really. I am putting the announcement in the next newsletter. Lately, it doesn't seem like I have enough time to do anything. As far as how these cars were originally painted, they started as wimbeldon white cars and then had the blue painted on the cowl, along the sides on the bottom, and tail light panel. The sides had a 1" wide striping tape that went along the blue and white border. It was 1/4" wide red on top, 1/4" white below that, and a 1/2" blue along the bottom. The red on the cowl and front fender over the valance panel was just 1/4" pin striping tape. That's how they got the striping done fast and accurately. The hood was a vinyl decal.
