I have a relative in the Philadelphia area that is not a car person what so ever. They do know what cars I collect and own however. A week or so ago, they called me to say they say an ad in their local craigslist for someone selling Maverick parts. They sent me the link to the ad and I gave the guy a call to see what he had. The ad was almost a month old, so I wasn't sure if he even had any of the parts still. He said that most of the parts were gone already, but he did have a deck lid still. When I asked for details, he said it was rust free with the factory jack instruction sticker and still had the "wing" on it. Once he said wing, I got excited. I was hoping it was a real Grabber deck lid and not a plain one with a ricer wing bolted to it. If the price was right, it was worth a shot. When I asked him what he wanted for it, he said "I just want it out of my garage. Give me $20 and get it out of my way". As you can image, I jumped on it. Fast forward a week. My relative just got back from picking it up and it is in fact a real rust free Grabber deck lid with the spoiler still attached. I can't believe the ad was listed on craigslist for a month and nobody else snatched it up. What a score. Here are a few bad pictures that the seller sent me last week.
