Thank you Earl, The storms over now where I am. Me and my family are all ok we didn't have any damage, some neighbors had limbs from trees in their yard but that's about it.

Maverick73; I am from Daytona Beach, and I hear it is torn up pretty badly. Where are you located? Glad you and yours are ok, and came through it fine. Just hope all our other members and their families are ok. That storm made a mess in S.W. Florida. Take care,

hey from orlando. yes there is some heavy damage here. the executive airport has been destroyed, sanford airport was heavily damaged, ALOT of downed trees and power lines. they are still asking everyone to stay off the road though few are. i live south of downtown and we had sustained winds at 67-75mph with gusts around 100-105mph. my car is at the paint shop so i don't even know if it is in one piece. not alot of casualties though so God is good. things can be fixed or replaced. it really is a sight to see. 100 yr old oaks pulled right out of the ground. magnolias didn't do real well either. everyone here is well. thanks for the thoughts.

I knew someone was praying for us. All of my family and our property is o.k. just a few small broken limbs on the oaks. We are located about 20 miles west of the Orlando area where the eye went through. We had steady winds of about 50mph for 15min. with gust around 65-70mph. Our power went out for about 5 hours. We are the lucky ones. The east side of Orlando is tore up bad. It's gonna be awhile for they get the power back on. Thanks to all that were thinking of us during the storms.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. All I can say is my mom prayed a hedge of protection around my place. I am in East Orlando, just a few miles south west of UCF. I never even lost my power. Some friends were not so fortunate. So I have been reaching out and helping where I can. It's kinda been like a little hotel around here. Friends have been sleeping over, hanging out or just using the A/C and grill. It's great to see friends and even strangers pulling together in a time of need. All the neighborhoods around me are pretty bad but I was very fortunate. The winds blew strong enough to blow open the french doors at the front of the house. But everyone is safe and that is the important thing. The Mav and the Mach 1 were tucked safely in the garage...thanks again for your prayers and support. It will still be some time before Orlando is back on it's feet. But Lord willing, we will be there..... Just remember the unfortunate people in Punta Gorda and others down south.
