Good idea with the pics. Heres mine with the exact same thoughts. My second pic down is the least favorite of my car. I had just got it together and its just way too much blue.

I like it a lot. Might even look better with a white vinyl or painted top ?

    Dude! It looks awsome!

A Comet looks good any color.. with or with out shadowing (y)
Does the contrasting colors have to be black? :hmmm:
Planning any graphics? If so, what year stripes? (if that's what your doing). I am partial to the '73 stripes.. I'm sure you can get them in just about any color with or with out reflective..

I think you made a great choice with yellow, now I may be a little biased my Comet is '91 ford racing yellow. Think about it this way, at least you'll never lose it in a parking lot. :thumbs2:

I think the color looks great. It accents the lines of the car nicely. I would be more upset if the color would have washed out the lines of such a beautiful car. I would say awesome choice & I agree with everyone else finish dressing it out. It will look a little bit different not so over powering. JMO :thumbs2:

My 73 Maverick needs a paint job bad! It is the original white w/brown vinyl top. Should I keep it original and do it in white (I hate white cars) or some other color....what goes with the vinyl top?

Yellow is not my thing but I do think it will look real sharp when complete.
