I just set them in the space for the original lights. They aren't mounted or anything. I'd have to change the grill with fiberglass or something to make it look right, I think. Is it a good idea, or should I stick with the originals?
Your car, you do what makes you happy. I would not cut up the grill for the lights. i would fab something to go with lights and sell grill.
Look's nice. Some guy out here in cali did that on his comet. I can't remember his screenname but his name is Ken and it's a yellow car.
I like it. I think you're right it would look perfect if the rectangle holes were not there but I agree with 71nogo I wouldn't cut up that grill.
I've seen this car in person but wasn't able to meet the owner. It's a very nice car. I like the mod... http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=3276&c=14
Your car, your preference. I personally like it. Good Comet grills are very scarce tho. You might consider making a plate to cover the square holes that double as a mount for the round lights so you can go back if you change your mind.
To make this work wud'nt the round lights have to small enough fit in the rec. holes where the Comet lights mount?
You could trim up some abs plastic or sheet metal (painted black) pretty easily with some hand shears that would fit the square--or red: who knows? That'll save your nice original grill.
