    72 maverick grabber 401 9 inch brodix heads dart block strange frontend wilwood disc brakes 4 piston vented slotted rotors pro flow. 73 mercury comet 408 winsor rhs heads all forged eagle rotator 9inch 3.70s disc rakes c4 reverse manual pro flow nos.
    MAV1970 would really like to do that i am computer ignorant so i am working on it doing good to do what im doing sorry will get it done 4 long

    still no answer to my question

    what is so bad with the 400 or 400M? more displacement = more horse pwr?

    Nothing wrong with the 400. But the biggest drawback to making power is piston availability, to be more specific, the lack of an off the shelf piston that's got a pin height that will get the piston top to a zero deck, instead of the stock -.100 to.125" deck clearance. A piston that's that far down the hole at TDC is an excellant detonation generator. Combine that with the open chambered heads (or even trying building one with quench heads) they came with and well you know the rest.............................
