The times that I have gone I went there at the last minute on Friday to sign up. But since then I get a flyer for pre-registration. Try calling Dick Wheeler (he is the organizer) at 602-618-0577 or 623-934-6092 to see if pre-registration is still open. They started taking reservations back on Feb 1, so it might be too late but it's worth a try. And don't forget that there is always the Friday before the swap to register as well.

Send me a PM with what your looking for, I got completes, bare housings, third members, 28 and 31 spline setups.

NONE of them are a direct fit for the maverick though, and none of them are the uber famous versalies ones with disk and drop right in.

All the rear ends would need to be shortened and spring perches relocated, and new axles.

Gears are all stock gears, prob the best (just guessing here) would be a 3.20ish.

these are platforms for having a rear end "built"

Sounds to me from your description of what your looking for, I would be junkyard shopping for a ranger or explorer 8.8 that can be done with a little less cost and easier "install".

Don't think just cause you have a 351 you need a 9 inch, its just not true. Hell with street tires and no high rpm drops your 8 inch will last a while behind the motor.

Rear ends break under launches, if the tire don't stick when all the force is going down the rear end will be fine, you "may" twist something up but it won't explode on you.

Get a driveshaft loop on that thing too ;)

LOL no problem I remember them days clear on waiting on earning money for car parts, first step back and take a look at exactly what you want.

    Whats your REALISTIC budget?

    Whats your power goals?

Whats the main duty of the vehicle?

    What type of transmission?

    What type of tires?

Do you want disc brakes or are drum fine?

Do you want a limited slip differential, locking differential, open differential, or spool or mini spool?

How long can the car be down for setup?

Do you have the welding abilities to do it yourself?

Are you looking for something thats a direct fit as is?

Do you need a 9 inch, 8.8, or 8 inch?

Are you willing to order new rear wheels?
