18" are easy to fit under the car.

I had a pair of 18"...LOVED them. Best sounding muffler I have ever used!

Mine weren't Cherry Bombs, just $15 glasspacks from the muffler shop.

I like the sound of Cherry Bombs above all other mufflers. The Flowmasters just 'buzz' too much for me. The glass packs like the Cherry Bomb are so much mellower, yet have a loud note as well.

Glasspacks are so outdated, at least get a magnaflow. It's a modern version that should last at least 4-6 times as much. Also straight though mufflers sound horrible on a six cylinder, ask me how i know! I'd go with a chambered muffler. Either a chery bomb turbo II or flowmaster. They both sounded the same on my 200ci.

I run two glasspacks under mine, love the sound, and she turns heads by sound at intersections... nice and deep, and gives that very... full sound when you lay into it... though mine's a 302? Heard a 250 with cherry glass pack... and a custom header that sounded very similar, just had a bit more of a drone than a gurgle... (lol)

The cherrybomb turbo is the same price of their glasspack. It was like 18 dollars for me at autozone. Click on my youtube link under my signature to hear it.

Six bangers and glasspacks don't work well together, you're better off without the muffler altogether.

Yeah, glass packs are the way to go with the 6's. Thats exactly what I'll be putting on mine soon. Personal preference in the end though.

you cant beat glasspacks, just run a y or x pipe for the straight six and keep them short (12" -16" glasspacks)
    my 250 with them,

i ran glasspacks on two 4-cylinder cars. Not for the sound, but because they are cheap. Chevy Luv pickup and even smaller Suzuki Samurai. It actually didn't sound all that bad, and not NEARLY as awful as those fart pipes the kids run nowadays. It made the sound a bit more throaty but not much louder. Really didn't even raise any eyebrows when I drove by.

Ran them on my 83 280zx and again, just a touch of a throaty note, a tiny increase in volume. Nobody really even noticed, but cheap.

The length of the pipe after the muffler will make a big difference in the sound, too.

Good point. My glasspacks were always in the middle, with plenty of pipe afterwards.

Lol cut one of those Fart Can mufflers apart, It's a glasspack. Thankfully that fad is almost gone here in socal. Most of them run magnaflows/vibrant mufflers now. They still sound pretty aweful but they're not as obnoxious as glasspacks.
