Just installed my drive shaft behind my t5 trans. Every thread on a t5 install says you have to cut 1" off the drive shaft. Well i slide my in the trans and had to pull it back about 1 1/4 to get it in the rearend. So isn't that enough? Why would i have to cut it anymore? Thanks
Have you put the weight of the car on the ground? Sometimes it will allow the shaft to push foward. If it still has some front yoke showing about an 1 1/4, should be fine.
When I put the T5 in mine I didn't have to shorten it either. You should be fine if you have some room to spare with weight on the suspension.
we didnt have to shorten mashori"s when we did his conversion. his was the origanal 6cyl shaft. i had to shorten mine. it was not an origanal shaft.
Mine is the origanal 6 cyl. shaft. Im glad, i didn't want to have to pay to get it done. That saved me some money.
