Could this be a possible solution to having custom swaybar for our mavs/comets? perhaps everyone should inquire about custom bars....at least the front anyways http://ankenyracingenterprises.com/Swaybars.htm
Looks awfully expensive. I guess if you wanted a road race car and installed some decent front suspension.
I'll have to look into this. I found out the hard way that my 7/8 front bar and my TCP strut rods do not coexist happily.
Could you post a pic? I have a 7/8 bar and I have ordered the street or track strut rods and I hope I don't have the same issue. Is it something that altering the length of the endlinks might correct?
Sorry, no pics at this time. the front end is currently apart. What you'll have to do is redrill the rear hole on the sway bar mount to slide the bar as far back as possible and then work you alignment to ensure there is no bindnig. You might get lucky with the Street or track stuff. They might use a smaller tube for the strut rod than the TCP I have which would cause less interference. Let me know how it works out. I've looked at theirs as a possible replacement for mine. I'd like to move up to a 1-1/8" bar if I can find a way.
i was going to go with the tcp coil over setup but think im going to go with rrs coil over strut mount system.. I'll definatly be calling these guys up about the swaybars though
Call gateway performance. I spent some timetalking with them at goodguys this weekend. Awesome support and down to earth guys. Tell them chris sent you.
so, what diameter bars combo do you plan to run 1.25 up front and 7/8 rear..or a 15/16 rear? ot 1 inch
Not sure yet. I need to get the tires and wheels set first, then front and rear spring rates, then fine tune it all with sway bars. I suspect I'll need 1" front and 7/8 rear though.
yea, i just ended up goig 17x8 245-45 and 17x7 with 225-45s didnt want to take any chances with **** hitting even though i know someof you guys fit 245s with 17x9s up front lol
Im going to try to fit 18X9.5 with 275/35-18 and 19X11.5 with 325/35-19. We'll see. There might e a mini tub happening in my future.
with that torque arm setup i'm sure it wont be much trouble for you i'd be happy with 17x9.5 all around with 275-40- all around but dsounds bad ass non the least sure you wont want to make another tcp t-arm kit for the mav lol i'd love to ditch the leafs
