I have headman headers with the ball socket on the end with the flange. I ordered some headman ball socket flange pipes from jegs but im not sure they are gonna work. Or maybe i don't no what im doing. The ball on the header just does fit in the pipe. NOT much at all. I thought you was suppose to be able to rotate the pipe on an angle if needed. What do you guys think? Also the bolts they sent are not close to catching the other flange.

Pics are kinda small but it looks like the connectors they sent you are for a standard header flange. A ball socket will be the same as your header only a bit larger to fit over the ball snugly. Its also possible they sent you the wrong size connectors for your headers...You need larger ones. But I am pretty sure those are for a standard header flange...

I have the ball socket on mine, they were on the car when I bought it. The ball on the header on mine is tapered to the center more than yours are. You'll probably have to get longer bolts depending on how the flanges end up oriented. 2 of my bolts are 2" long and the other is ~3" long.

    More pics

Sorry for small pics had to use phone. Im not sure they gave me the wrong thing because i don't think they could have flared them anymore. Look how close they are to the mounting flanges. But then again i don't now.

Those are too small for your application...You need larger ones to match your headers...:yup:

What part needs to be larger? The flange with the holes matches my headers perfect. So how do they flar it any more than it is without hiting the flange? Im just not understanding. Help me understand what your saying. Thanks

The flare on the extension pipe is too small to properly engage/encompass the ball on the header. If those extension pipes are proper for the application (flanges are correct as you state) then the balls on the ends of the headers are not properly formed. With a set of loonng bolts to mount it all together, you may be fine but it just seems to me as though the set up is not going to mate/seal well. Just did a set on my freinds SS Nova last summer and the pipes contact much more of the ball end as well as the ball end on the headers was much more...Ball shaped.

I got tired of leaks and siezed bolts and fighting the angles.. The flange was also the lowest part of the car so it got scraped here and there. Good ridence lol

Thanks for the help guys. I just got off the phone with jegs and i needed another part #. You where right mavman72. The guy ( this time ) said the flange will be the same, but the flare deeper. So no exhaust this weekend #$&^.
