    1974 mercury comet
    Hello every one...
exited about this project with my son. We have purchased a 1974 mercury comet,I previously owned a 1965 mercury cyclone.Very rare car unfortunately I was young at the time I purchased this extraordinary muscle car and had a brand new family.long story short my wife gave me a choice the car or well you know! one month after selectively finding a buyer for the vehicle my father in law bought me a subscription to I believe it was car craft magazine, the cover page was none other than the nostalgic rod I had owned just one month before.I nearly cried. As it were I moved on with my life.driving hunk a junks for the most part although I was able to make a few more hot rod purchase's I never seemed to be able to complete any of them. After 18 years and three beuatifull children her and I went our seperate ways.Four years later I was able to file for custody of my yongest child my son.We have come a long way in the last year and a half. Here we are its his senior year and we have purchased this later model comet,so far we purchased a 390 as well as a C-6 trans as a start. this will be hopefully alot of great memories for him and I. P.S. photo's to follow!!! ernie1222.

Welcome to the Forum. Father Son projects are the best! Using the "search" feature will get you a plethora of information. Like how to get that big block into the car.
