I got my window cranks from the local auto parts store and they matched perfectly. Welcome and enjoy the project. :drive:

    Welcome from North Fl.

What part of Alabama are you in? I'm in Freeport Fl, just 30 odd miles from the Al line.:tiphat:
Are you sure its your cowl thats leaking? Everybody thought the same thing about my 76 but it turned out to be a badly dry rotted windshield seal. I just squeezed in a little flowable sealant into the cracks and dried it right up.

Leaky cowls seem to be the DEATHs of these machines. I'm glad I got lucky - resealed my windshield and it stopped.... so yes, I second that motion.

And to the person that said "if you're not a mechanic, you will be" - SO TRUE! :)

My boyfriend and I are having a wonderful time working on this car. Its the first thing that has brought us closer together in a long time. Its nice to be able to share something.

Ut oh, it looks like rain - I hear my car down the road. He just washed her. Arrrghhh.

Good luck with everything! I've enjoyed the tech section of this website very much. Lots of good ideas and fixes whether you are having a problem or not.

Have a good weekend everybody! I'm off to do some homework... then maybe take a ride if it doesn't end up raining.... :drive:
