The stripe is there. The angle may be bad. It was just painted so there is a slight sheen. As far as I know the stripe was a black out treatment only, so unless you are standing right in front of the car you will not notice it.

Hey, you made more progress since I saw you at the Brasselton show. Looks really good, and it made my Bandit Run trip end really well getting to see someone with a Comet, even thought I have a Mav, we guys have to stick together:HandshakeEnjoyed talking with you.

Hey good to hear from you. Glad your trip went well. The guy with the Mustang II voted my car number 1 at that show. I guess when even the other Ford guys turn their nose up at you it makes you respect any one that dares to be different. There was only mine and one 71 six cyl Mav there that looked show room quality. Loved that car. Most folks looking at my car did'nt even know what it was. As in who made the Comet? That Thumper cam w/cherry bombs sure made the bowtie sheep look though.
Nothing sounds better than a small block Ford. Well maybe a big block Ford.

I have a Maverick, but I have a soft spot for Comets too. Love that car and esp the wheels. You did a great job restoring it, congrats!:tiphat:

Awesome car, I love the wheels and that is the only side exhaust I've seen that I like... I have a 72 gt and only hope it will look that good...
