I agree. But there are at least three different types. Can you post a pic of it?

    Hey Slider, Drew, and Bryant,

It's true...Mustangs unlimited has 3 different styles of Neutral Safety/Reverse Lights Switches, for the Floor Shift Cars, that have them mounted on the tranny.

Here is the one that I THINK is the correct one for the Auto Floor Shift Mav/Comets:

I have seen variations of these in several places, but this particular one has the the 2 tabs 180 degrees apart, that match the 2 notch/detents, that are on the double-side tranny lever, that was factory, on the Mav/Comet Automatic Floor Shift Cars.

I'm glad you guys brought this question up, because when I went to Mustangs Unlimited, I see that they now carry the Wiring Harness, with the rubber firewall plug, that connects the Neutral Safety/Reverse Switch and Floor Shifter light, to the under-dash harness, etc. At least I believe it is the one. I will do some more research to try an confirm this:

On second look...it looks like this wiring harness for the early Mustangs, is slightly different from the factory Maverick one, and the rubber firewall plug look slightly different, but it might be workable if you cannot find an original factory one.

Well I know the "SAFETY" Part of the switch works! just NOT the "REVERSE" part of the switch.. I took off Monday from work (where the car is) so Tuesday If i dont get slammed im gunna crawl up under it and take a peek.

    Chaz.
