    anyone know how to tell the difference between a 69.5' and a 70' maverick

    69.5 key is on the dash 70 key is on the column.

    easiest way is to look at the location of the ignition. if its on the steering column its a 70+ if its mounted on the dash its a 69.5. that is unless some1 relocated it.

    The door ID tag would also be a clue. It'll have the build date there.

    thanks for the info,i guess mine is 69.5,ignition on the dash,i'm the second owner ,i bought in may 2000' with 69 k orig miles

    nice. i own a 69.5 too. there pretty neat, only problem is that its hard to find year specific parts like gas tanks, carpets, etc but that just makes em more fun.

    What kind of steering wheel does it have? I believe 69.5 had the rim blow as an option, also the red line speedos.

    I think a 69.5 would be a sick car to own! lol idk it was made a half year b4 mine, but i like the clean shaved look of the steering column you could do.

    i ditched the wheel years ago (i know ,my bad),dont even remember the style
